Mark graduated from UWA and trained in cardiology in Perth and the UK. In 1982 he was appointed as staff specialist in cardiology at Royal Perth Hospital and in 1989 commenced in private practice.

Since that time Mark has worked as a visiting specialist at Royal Perth Hospital and was involved in the establishment of the cardiac transplant unit at that hospital. In early 1998 he was appointed as Visiting Cardiologist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

Mark works as a general cardiologist with interests in ischaemic heart disease and heart failure.

Mark currently consults at the Mount, Murdoch, Midland, Joondalup, Augusta and Margaret River
