DR MICHAEL MUHLMANN

Michael graduated from UWA in 1994 and trained in cardiology in Perth and Melbourne. He did a fellowship at the Alfred Hospital in advanced heart failure. Michael then did a three year fellowship in the UK in interventional cardiology, spending a year at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and two years at the Barts and London Hospital in East London.
In 2006 Michael was appointed as an interventional cardiologist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and in 2007 he was appointed Director of the Cardiac Invasive Labs.
Michael’s particular interests are in interventional cardiology (angioplasty, stent implantation, Intravascular Ultrasound, ASD closure and valvuloplasty) and also in the management of acute coronary syndromes.
Michael has appointments at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Joondalup Hospital and the Mount Hospital. He currently consults at the Mount Medical Centre, Subiaco and Karratha.
